Our Apartment

We have a beautiful apartment. I took a few pictures just for fun. We have a three room apartment by Russian standards, kitchen and bathroom don't count as rooms but the family room or living room counts as a room as do the bedrooms (and we have two bedrooms). We have a beautiful view of gray skies and countless apartment buildings from our 18th floor windows. We could see the fireworks on Red Square from our window. FANTASTIC!!! When the sun shines it is beautiful. We have seen the sun (or had a blue cloud) only a few times since we have been here. Notice we have a washing machine but no dryer. The washing machine is very small and I can only wash one sheet and maybe two pillow cases in a batch of laundry. There is a rack to dry the clothes on. I feel like Grandma Day when she used to hang her clothes out on the line to dry. The clothes are stiff (especially the towels) and not soft because they have not been tumbled dry. Welcome to our Russian home! We LOVE it!!!!
